From our Historian, Joyce: Below is a link for you From our Historian, Joyce: Below is a link for you to submit the hours you have volunteered for the 2024-2025 school year. Please take a moment to fill out this form and submit by May 26, 2025. Why submit your hours, you ask? It is primarily for auditing purposes. Our annual submission of volunteer hours is necessary to maintain our federal tax exemption status as a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, which requires that PTA must receive 1/3 (one-third) of its support from the general public. Recording of hours is one way to show this. The hours are also used towards advocacy and grant applications. When calculating your hours, you can consider the time you spent at PTSA meetings (in person or on Zoom), at school events, setting up, writing reports, travel, training, or anything else that you did on behalf of the PTSA. Every minute you have contributed is valuable and hugely appreciated. (But feel free to round up!) If you have any questions, please contact us at PTSAsoces@gmail.com.
